About EE

We’re EE. We are the biggest mobile and broadband operator in the UK and we have a relationship in every second household in the country. But we’re for everyone, on any network – serving up new tech, new services, and heaps of inspiration for every aspect of your connected life.

We’ve been awarded the UK’s best network for the last 10 years. It’s central to our vision – to be the most personal customer-focused technology company in the UK.

That means earning a place on customers’ home screens by offering them more than ever before, whether that’s helping their home run smarter with EE Home, levelling up their play with EE Game, helping them work on their terms with EE Work, or even unleashing their kids’ learning with EE Learn.

We’re also part of BT Group, which we’re even bigger than you might think. Millions of people rely on us every day to help them live their lives, power their businesses, and keep their public services running. We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding.

We think we’ve got something special here. We want everyone to feel proud about working at EE – and feel excited about where we’re going and what we’re going to do. Want to join in?

Why this job matters

We are entering an exciting new era where monetising network capabilities through APIs is becoming a key strategic growth driver. At BT, we’re pioneering this shift through a portfolio of high-margin, innovative services that enable businesses to integrate telco capabilities—such as fraud prevention, identity validation and payment mechanisms—into their own customer experiences.

While already contributing a significant margin to our P&L, we see enormous potential in expanding our Network API offering. As global technology players and hyperscalers increasingly seek trusted, scalable telco solutions, new commercial models and complex integrations are required to unlock this opportunity.

This role will play a critical part in shaping and leading this emerging space. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, integrating, and managing strategic partnerships, particularly within the hyperscaler ecosystem, enabling BT to scale its identity and payment capabilities globally. This is a rare opportunity to lead in a high-growth, early-stage domain with meaningful strategic and commercial impact

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify and engage new strategic partners across hyperscalers, marketplaces, fintechs and digital platforms to expand BT’s Charge to Bill and Digital ID footprint.
  • Lead on contract negotiation, pricing, legal frameworks and commercial models, ensuring value creation, scalability and compliance.
  • Act as the strategic lead for new partner relationships, overseeing onboarding, operational integration, and ongoing performance management.
  • Collaborate with product, legal, data and engineering teams to shape commercially viable offerings that align with evolving partner needs and market dynamics.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, sales enablement tools and channel strategies to accelerate the growth of new propositions.
  • Stay at the forefront of trends in digital identity, payments, data monetisation and API ecosystems; use this insight to inform strategy and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Operate as a senior influencer across BT Group, aligning internal teams to support the delivery of new commercial and technical models.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance partnership lifecycle processes, reduce friction and improve speed-to-market.
  • Help shape the wider B2B2C space.
  • Mentor and support the development of colleagues within the team, helping to build a high-performance, innovation-led culture.

Skills and Experience we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you'll need a unique blend of commercial acumen, digital expertise and strategic leadership. You should bring:

  • Demonstrable experience leading strategic commercial partnerships within telecoms, technology or digital services.
  • Strong contract negotiation and commercial structuring capabilities, with experience handling complex, multi-party deals—ideally involving hyperscalers or digital platforms.
  • Experience in developing and managing digital propositions, particularly around identity, billing, payments, or data-driven services.
  • A proven ability to identify market opportunities, shape go-to-market plans and build robust business cases.
  • Sound understanding of API ecosystems and digital service integration models.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with confidence interpreting commercial and operational performance data.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across legal, technology, product and external partner teams.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and fast-moving environments; a self-starter with a growth mindset.
  • Experience in early-stage proposition development and scaling new commercial models.
  • A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with a commitment to team development.

Benefits

•    15% on target bonus
•    Health Care
•    Car Allowance
•    Pension scheme, minimum 5% Employee contribution, EE/BT contribution 10%
•    From January 2025, equal family leave:  receive 18 weeks at full pay, 8 weeks at half pay and 26 weeks at the statutory rate. It’s for all parents, no matter how your family is made up.
•    Enhanced women’s health support: including help with menopause symptoms, cancer screenings, period care and more.
•    25 days annual leave (not including bank holidays), increasing with service
•    24/7 private virtual GP appointments for UK colleagues
•    2 weeks carer’s leave
