EE is a top 5 UK advertiser and in this job you’ll help shape £130m+ of investment across the brand. Our current models show that media drives over 15% of total consumer sales and delivers our brand metric scores that drive the EE forward.
In this role you’ll play an important part in designing and delivering media campaigns to hit EE’s brand measures and sales targets. Working in the Media Team you’ll work at a fast pace in an environment with plenty of supportive challenge. We are always testing and learning on each product and constantly adapting what we do as a result to improve short term and long-term media efficiency and effectiveness.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead the delivery of media campaigns for EE, primarily brand consideration campaigns.
- Support the Senior Media Manager and Principal - Media, across wider media strategy e.g. translating segmentation work into addressable audiences for key channels.
- Collaborate with Brand Planning and Campaign Managers to agree campaign KPIs and targets as part of the briefing process, ensure campaigns are designed to deliver against them.
- Manage the media agency teams throughout the campaign process from briefing, through execution to post campaign analysis.
- Work with the Media Agency and Media Audience Manager to implement an audience first approach to media plans with careful use of data and insight based on objective as well as performance seen to date.
- Nuture and manage solid relationships with internal stakeholders across the wider business and external partners, including creative agencies, as needed to secure stakeholder buy in to recommended media approaches.
- Work closely with the Senior Media Effectiveness lead on the data inputs and interpretation of the econometric modelling
- Drive innovation in media planning to improve our campaigns, testing new ideas, initiatives, platforms and data sources.
- Assess daily/weekly campaign performance and make mid flight optimisation decisions using live data from multiple inputs and produce end of campaign PCA’s gathering smart insights and making sure that smart insights are applied to future campaigns.
- Implement your broad industry knowledge and understanding and expert independent perspective on the UK media landscape to drive forward EE’s media plans and also educate internal team where needed on the role of media.
- Manage media budgets across campaigns, raising and reconciling PO’s with marketing finance team.
- Use understanding of the telco market and competitors in planning to maintain EE’s market position.
The skills and experience you will have under your belt
- Previous experience in activating media campaigns across multiple media channel including Broadcast TV and OOH/DOOH and Radio, Digital Audio, Meta and all other social platforms, programmatic, BVOD/SVOD and OLV.
- Proven experience of managing media agencies and owning the day to day relationships within the teams across media, creative and social agencies to execute media campaigns.
- Evidence of media budget accountability and management in excess of £20m per annum
- Able to use Econometrics and other advance statistical techniques to scope, design and interpret media performance data to improve business results.
- Proven ability to set appropriate media targets and measuring commercial and brand targets for campaigns.
- Deep understanding on the application of media data and media targeting solutions.
- Proven ability to forecast performance delivery of media in terms of traffic and sales.
- Proven ability track direct and indirect campaign effectiveness and to make in flight campaign optimisations.
- A passion for everything media, with an active interest and understanding of broader advertising industry trends.
- Adept problem-solver and with a natural ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant industry experience (Telecoms/Mobile), or media agency experience preferable as is experience of working with industry research tools such TGI, BARB, Google Analytics
