Why this job matters

You’ll be responsible for the creation and deployment of engaging and high performing communications to our base of customers via SMS, MMS, Email & App Push. You’ll be working within an agile squad creating, testing and deploying communications and collaborating with our technology partners and agencies.

What you’ll be doing

Accountable for delivering high quality, personalised, and accurate outbound communications

  • Building, testing and deploying outbound base comms across multiple channels
  • Creating reusable templates for E-mail, SMS & MMS sends
  • Using complex conditional logic to display the right content to the right customers at the right time
  • Working with your squad to design A/B and Multi-Variate tests and configuring them within outbound comms, reporting back on the results of the tests
  • Collaboration within your squad ensuring campaign requirements are understood and our execution capabilities are exploited
  • Exploiting segmentation and personalisation capabilities within the deployment architecture to ensure all communications are targeted, personalised and highly relevant
  • Scheduling and automating base comms
  • Responsible for quality checking outbound comms ensuring highly accurate content is presented and ensuring the customer journey through from receiving comms to conversion is seamless
  • Understanding marketing channels best practice, driving best practice and highest standards within your squad and with our partners

Accountable for optimising, testing and trialing new capabilities in outbound communications

  • Working with capability squads and external vendors to understand new tools, technologies, products and capabilities
  • Ensuring our execution capabilities are known both internally and externally, pushing the use of these capabilities as required
  • Optimising existing deployments ensuring they are built and automated to the highest possible standards whilst allowing fast updates & replacement of content as and when required
  • Collaborating with our internal design studio using Figma and other tools to ensure that proposed designs follow best practice, will work with our CMS and other tools and pushing the use of new capabilities and technologies at the design stage
     

The skills and experience you will have under your belt

  • Experience building and configuring data driven campaigns from initial scoping to creation, testing & post campaign reporting
  • Evidence of optimising campaign performance through A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Experience using CMS and personalisation technologies E.G Taxi for e-mail and MovableInk
  • Track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Expert using marketing deployment technology such as Webex campaign, Adobe suite etc. Able to identify opportunities for improvement and drive those improvements with capability squads
  • Familiar with agile working practices and technology (Jira/Confluence)
  • Knowledge of complex conditional logic scripting languages (E.G Handlebars, Liquid) and understanding of HTML
  • Good understanding of Marketing activity in and around the Telecoms and tech industry
  • Ability to meet tight timescales and work under pressure
