We’re EE. We are the biggest mobile and broadband operator in the UK and we have a relationship in every second household in the country. But we’re for everyone, on any network – serving up new tech, new services, and heaps of inspiration for every aspect of your connected life.

We’ve been awarded the UK’s best network for the last 10 years. It’s central to our vision – to be the most personal customer-focused technology company in the UK.

That means earning a place on customers’ home screens by offering them more than ever before, whether that’s helping their home run smarter with EE Home, levelling up their play with EE Game, helping them work on their terms with EE Work, or even unleashing their kids’ learning with EE Learn.

We’re also part of BT Group, which we’re even bigger than you might think. Millions of people rely on us every day to help them live their lives, power their businesses, and keep their public services running. We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding.

We think we’ve got something special here. We want everyone to feel proud about working at EE – and feel excited about where we’re going and what we’re going to do. Want to join in?

Why this job matters

In a fast-moving, competitive telecoms market, it’s not enough to have good products and services. We need the right commercial strategy, customer understanding, and resource allocation focus to win. This role ensures the business has a clear, data-driven view of where to grow, how to compete, as well as the actions we need to take unlock customer value and channel productivity / digital channel shift.

As the strategic link between marketing, commercial, finance, and the wider business, this role defines the roadmap that connects customer needs with commercial outcomes. It ensures our marketing investment is focused, our portfolio is coherent, and our propositions are grounded in insight.

You'll lead a team of four, balancing short-, mid- and long-term priorities, with your work spanning areas such as multi-brand strategy (BT, EE and Plusnet), customer segmentation, distribution strategy, brand positioning, and long-term pricing strategy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the development of commercial and marketing strategies to drive sustainable improvements in customer numbers, customer value and channel productivity / digital channel shift.
  • Driving customer and competitor insight into all areas of marketing planning, channel, opportunity development, and commercial decision-making
  • Shaping and maintaining a cohesive roadmap of strategic Marketing & Commercial initiatives that sustainably grow our business, ensuring execution of these are built in to onward plans.
  • Partnering with the Consumer and BT Strategy team to develop strategies and tactics, prioritising our focus areas that meet the future direction of our business
  • Managing the ongoing prioritization, performance review, and initiative prioritization of our strategies and tactics
  • Overseeing and coordinating effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) assessments.
  • Influencing leadership stakeholders with compelling, insight-led recommendations and strategic thinking

The skills and experience you'll have under your belt

  • Strong experience in commercial, strategy, or marketing leadership roles, ideally in telecoms or a subscription-based service.
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and customer-centric mindset.
  • Proven ability to prioritise initiatives, make trade-offs, and guide long-term planning in a business going through complex transformation.
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills—able to align exec teams around a clear direction.
  • Confident using data, research, and performance insight to shape plans and challenge assumptions.
  • Ability to lead a team of strategy managers, coaching and developing them to be their best, as well as guiding their work and prioritising the team workstack effectively.
