This role is based at our Leeds office. We have a hybrid working model - 3 days together, 2 days wherever.

Technical Expert
- Working with DevOps tools. You will advocate for best practices in software development and architecture, while also staying up-to-date with the latest cutting-edge technologies and trends.

Technology Stack
- Demonstrate proficiency in the following technologies & DevOps tools: Java, Python, Docker, K8S, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Gitlab, Nexus IQ, Nexus Repo, Sonarqube, JIRA, Confluence

- Drive innovation within the engineering team by exploring and integrating cutting-edge technologies such as GenAI into our tools to improve efficiency and customer experience.

 

Delivery Excellence
- Champion the implementation of best practices in development methodologies, code reviews, and testing processes to ensure the delivery of robust and scalable software solutions.

 

Communication
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to align technical decisions with business objectives.

Skills and Experience

Required

  • Proficient in the following technologies and DevOps tools: Java or Python, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), GitLab, Nexus IQ, Nexus Repository, SonarQube, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience using a major cloud provider, preferably AWS, to develop cloud-native applications.
  • Ability to implement, configure, and maintain the DevOps tools is anticipated.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Beneficial

  • Familiarity with Dynatrace or other monitoring and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with BFF (Backend for Frontend) and Micro-Service Architecture. 
  • Familiarity with building reusable features as capability
  • Familiarity with CI-CD Pipelines, Agile Methodologies and Jira as a project management tool
