This role is for a Technical Lead/Architect with 9 - 14 Years of relevant Experience with Proven Track record of Technology Transformation and Stack Modernisation from Legacy Systems to Cloud Native and Microservices with Architectural and System Design experience in Telco Domain   
The role is accountable to ensure Delivery Excellence by leading on Technology Transformation, Technical Architecture, Solution Design and Delivery.

What you’ll be doing

• As a Software Engineering Specialist, you are responsible for Leading and driving on Tech/ App Modernisation and Cloud Transformation Initiatives/engagements with responsibility across Technical Architecture and Solutioning, Design and Development in the SDLC journey. 
• You are the lead technical and solutioning expert in Telco Domain with proven track record of Solution Architecture and Design in Complex Transformation Programmes and Platform with hands on experience on at least one programming language (JAVA, Python or GO stack) along with full stack experience (front end/backend) and knowledge on Cloud Native capabilities (AWS) , various API frameworks, SOLID Design Principles and other Design Patterns etc
• You’re hands on with various System Design Principles (CRUD) along with thorough working knowledge on various TMF Open API standards and frameworks.
• You have in depth knowledge of Containerisation, Virtualisation and Orchestration Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and setting up Mongo Clusters and you can build the Infra on Demand as a Lead DevOps Engineer 
• You have knowledge on both Relational (Oracle, SQL) and Non-Relational (Mongo, NOSQL) Database Technologies 
• You are conversant with emerging Tech as well like AI/ML/Data Analytics and are Technology and Tool Aware and you keep yourself up to date with latest Technology and Trends  
• You can work both as an IC as well as a Team Player to showcase 'what good is' by being an expert engineer. 
• You will be expected to demonstrate best practices in refining requirements, design solutions, review code, tests and deploy applications.
• You are a role model for the Software Engineering Professionals in the team with a responsibility to set a high bar for quality.
• As part of this responsibility, you will provide regular technical coaching and mentoring to junior Team members. 
• As a Technical expert, you continuously evaluate areas of Technology, Process and Standards to identify improvement opportunities and areas of Optimisation.
• You are a key knowledge champion and seek every opportunity to share your experience across the department. 
• You will be required to represent your team in meetings with stakeholders, contributing to their strategy and direction. 
• As a technology enthusiast you keep up to date with the latest developments in the IT industry and apply industry best practice to drive continuous improvement and innovation within BT.
• You’re able to independently manage teams of size small to medium comprising of High Performing mix of Designers, Developers and DevOps Engineers. 

Skills Required

• Hands On Experience on at least one programming language (JAVA, Python) along with full stack experience across front end and backend. 
• Hands On Experience on various API standards and frameworks (SOAP, REST, Google APIGEE etc)
• Must have Telco OSS/BSS, Quote 2 Order and CPQ Domain Experience and ability to author solution design documents and communicate effectively to developers in order to bridge to gap between ‘what is required’ and ‘what is delivered’.  
• Thorough Understanding of the Security, Scalability, Reliability, Performance and Availability aspects when constructing and designing solutions     
• Excellent Knowledge on Data Structures, Design Patterns and Algorithms
• High Level Knowledge on various Data Pipeline and Data Streaming Technologies
• You have knowledge on both Relational (Oracle, Postgres/PostGIS, SQL) and Non-Relational (Mongo, NOSQL) Database Technologies
• In depth knowledge of Atlassian Suite tools (Confluence and Jira) with Agile Ways of Working
• High Level Knowledge on DevOps CI/CD Toolchains and Pipelines
• High Level Knowledge on Cloud Native and emerging Tech/Tooling -AI/ML/DL, Data Analytics is added advantage.
