Why this job matters

Assurance sits within Group Billing & Assurance (GB&A), and operates as a secondary control, assuring the end to end (E2E) accuracy of supplier and customer charging whilst giving insight and consultancy to the business on improvements and optimisation opportunities. 
The role of the Analyst is to identify and mitigate billing and financial risk across products and contracts to support the Assurance strategy, for relevant CFU’s. Supports the CFU and wider BT by driving risk mitigation across people, process and systems to reduce risk and improve customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

•    Accountable for business engagement across a wide range of operational CFU stakeholders.
•    Has detailed understanding of one or more key product/contract areas and uses business assurance knowledge in discovery and investigative work, to carry out/support secondary controls, contract end-to-end assessments and risk and control reviews.
•    Uses understanding of the audit of processes and systems along with commercial insight to define and recommend new or amend appropriate coverage and controls, and ensure they are executed.
•    Carries out root cause analysis and root cause management as part of the Contract Assurance Centre of Excellence, working with GCB&A CFU team(s) and relevant CFU/BTT stakeholders 
•    May be required to support Specialists in management of third party suppliers and interaction with auditors and regulatory authorities.

 

The experience you'll have 

•    Experience in analysing and summarising data from different sources

•    Demonstrable ability to engage stakeholders up to senior manager level to gain data, information and support for assurance projects and drive specific outcomes 

•    Successfully manages and delivers complex pieces of assurance, issue resolution or risk mitigation work    

•    Able to carry out root cause management to identify and then implement specific process/people/technology improvements with demonstable results    

•    Experience of using Continuous improvement techniques to deliver process changes within a team

•    Experience in supporting or managing a commercial contract

•    Experience in contract and/or commercial management

•    Telco experience in: business assurance, risk, compliance, network, business operations, audit or billing roles, contract management

•    Business/Revenue Assurance industry experience
 

Due to the nature of this work, you may require Security Clearance
