As part of the BT Security winning new business centre of excellence; You will lead and/or be accountable for defining the customer security solution architecture and designs for complex bids. You will lead the solution by defining the technical aspects alongside operational and delivery designs whilst maintaining an end-to-end view on the benefits and outcomes for the customer and BT. You may support simultaneous deals.


You will work as part of a team supporting complex, bespoke and custom solutions with newly launched or non-standard components, and non-standard SLAs. You will have responsibility for all aspects of the end-to-end architecture with a demonstrable level of expertise and capability for: -Major Deals & Solution definition -Governance, Standardisation & Re-use -Leadership & Stakeholder -Reports & communication.


This is a smart-working role based out of one our strategic hubs; Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, Newcastle, Ipswich & Birmingham


You'll have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the solution direction and set the objectives via a series of storyboard documents, 
  • Work alongside other roles as an integral part of a bid team,
  • Lead as a solution subject matter expert during customer workshops, bid responses, contract negotiations and presentations,
  • Create solution blueprints and briefing documents that are reusable, repeatable, and transferable,   
  • Provide the thread between bid and delivery on project mobilisation calls,
  • Learn about our security products and keep up to date with the latest security technology,
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformational activities to improve the units agility and reduce cost,


You’ll definitely:

  • Be self-motivated, proactive and flexible in your approach to work
  • Be comfortable challenging and working to strict deadlines
  • Be organised and able to multi-task
  • Have a strong background in either Technical/Network/Service 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Be a good problem solver 
  • Have outstanding communications and presentations skills (customer facing) 
  • Use your initiative and be comfortable working with changing requirements
  • Be commercially aware
  • Have an enquiring mind, thirst for knowledge, willingness to learn and a winning mindset.


You might even:

  • Possess a recognised formal qualification in Security technology, or have knowledge of Security solutions, 
  • Have experience in being a subject matter expert in a technology field, such as networking, cloud, applications or data centre, 
  • Have experience in leading and driving virtual / global teams
