Why this job matters

The T&M Lead will be accountable for maintaining a pool of resources to meet Time and Material contracting demands. Utilising your industry and technical knowledge to provide thought leadership for T&M practice. You'll have a robust understanding of BT ways of working so that outcome based deliveries are maintained separately to T&M based deliveries, with the right approach being used for the right opportunity. This works within existing MU strategy to ensure technical design is transformed via design and test across geographical and technological boundaries. Technical expertise and excellent stakeholder management required to achieve a cohesive approach to design.


The T&M Lead will report directly to the Senior Manager for Customer Solutions and work hand in hand with their leadership. This is a great opportunity to build skills and develop further in the future.

What you’ll be doing

•    Provide inspiring leadership, a long-term vision and strategic development for the T&M practice.
•    Accountable for line management, career development, skills improvement and resource co-ordination for the T&M  team ensuring performance targets are agreed and met with key stakeholders in CS &D
•    Accountable for budget for T&M practice
•    Accountable for T&M resourcing escalations
•    Manages across all levels, ensuring the processes that are followed are optimal, ensuring development is funded.

Skills You'll Need

•    A great people leader who can inspire and coach the next generaion of Designers within Business
•    In depth understanding of the key features and functions of the products and services provided by Business.
•    Technical expertise and excellent stakeholder management required to achieve a cohesive approach to design.
•    Ability to manager internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
•    Strong understanding of financial management in terms of budget management and forecasting

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
