Why this job matters

As the Solution Sales Consultant you’ll be a consultative sales professional responsible for representing BT and selling its products, services, and solutions in the surveillance and smart solutions sector. 

You’ll be responsible for having a technical understanding of BT’s surveillance and smart solutions portfolio and services to be able to tailor solutions to customer requirements, staying abreast of the latest developments and contributing to the function strategy by applying this within BT. 

What you’ll be doing

•    Responsible for a sales area with a number of local government, police, transport and commercial accounts for the surveillance and smart solutions portfolio and capabilities. 
•    Focussed on outcome based consultative sales and what your customers want to achieve. 
•    Growing accounts through acquisition and defence of existing customer business, as well as being responsible for new opportunity creation. 
•    Keeping fully aware of legislation, regulation, trends, and changes in surveillance and smart solution marketplace to constantly be at the forefront of technology enhancements. 
•    In some instances, using your in-depth knowledge to operate on a higher value/more complex products/solutions that space across several portfolio areas.

What you'll bring

•    Consultative sales skills and experience in the physical security/CCTV and surveillance market.
•    Significant demonstrable experience working in or with UK government, local authority, police, MOD and transport sectors and associated procurement frameworks. 
•    A comprehensive understanding of public space surveillance market, technology and legislation 
•    A comprehensive understanding of high security surveillance & access control technology and legislation. 
•    Security partners accreditation from Bosch, Axis, Milestone, Gallagher, Briefcam etc. 
•    Hold or be prepared to undergo Security Check (SC) level Security Clearance - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels
