Why this job matters

 

The Sales Specialist, IT Services will report directly to the Senior Sales Specialist Manager and will be responsible for building client relationships in order to identify opportunities, develop pipeline and successfully achieve sales targets. 


This role will be responsible for following and understanding the latest trends and developments in our industry and be able to present and share knowledge to colleagues to improve others learning, as well as delivering campaigns and events to help deliver revenue growth targets. 


This role will also work closely with finance and Pricing to understand the P&L in detail for the customer solutions being sold to ensure margins on all deals are maximised and pricing is aligned to market expectations. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing, managing and delivering all Sales targets, based on SOVGM, Revenue and Gross Margin
  • Develop, maintain and grow strong relationships with telecom providers, and channel partners
  • To build solutions that exceed customers needs for customer premises equipment and IT solutions
  • Maintaining a broad architectural knowledge and trends on leading and emerging technologies, to influence both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Creating a high level of customer satisfaction and advocacy across the customer base through personal activity and leveraging the wider teams
  • Creating and successfully developing sales plans with Account Managers, to retain and win new revenues
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities for IT/CPE products & services and licencing
  • Defining and developing senior relationships with the virtual teams and wider BT and EE
  • Present and demonstrate CPE solutions including routers, switches, firewalls
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to close deals and meet sales targets

What we would like to see on your CV

  • Proven track record of delivering against targets within a sales role
  • Aligning and prioritising multiple demands
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience of using an industry recognised sales methodology
  • Senior Stakeholder Management
  • Telecoms experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with vendors like Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Juniper, Fortinet and Palo Alto
  • Knowledge of using Cisco Commerce Workplace (CCW)
