What you’ll be doing – your accountabilities 

Leading network designs for new products, platform improvements or upgrades 

Generating and leading on ideas for improvement in process and/or technology within the platform. 

Working with internal stakeholders to understand, interpret and shape requirements for network deliverables 

Setting direction in an area of specialism, contributing to wider technical roadmap 

Mentoring more junior staff in technical expertise and engineering professionalism 

Representing our network platform at internal meetings and those with network vendors to ensure alignment to strategy and create positive outcomes. 


The skills you’ll need to succeed 

CCIP or equivalent qualification demonstrating competence with IP/MPLS, QoS, BGP, IS-IS, and OSPF. 

Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to business stakeholders. 

Ability to write and interpret simple programmes (Python preferred) 

IP Network design including IP/MPLS VPN – gathering and agreeing requirements, through to solution 

Familiarity with network testing in lab environments – writing scopes, executing tests, test driven design. 

Understanding of network automation and description languages (e.g. Jinja2, TTP, YAML) 

Experience you’d be expected to have 

Familiarity with configuring complex multi-customer networks 

Creating solutions to network problems (high or low level design) 

Design and implementation of network testing. 

Evidence of creating and implementing process improvements
