Highly organised cyber criminals, motivated by lucrative opportunities are attacking organisations with surprising innovation. At the same time, the drive to digital transformation is expanding the attack surface dramatically.  Many organisations view security as a static problem solved by point products focussed on simply blocking intrusions. And they often isolate their different business units and technology platforms into separate buckets. Our Threat Management Portfolio gives customers greater visibility of the threats they face, help them to manage and to control threats more effectively.


We sell this portfolio of products and services direct to customers but increasingly via Indirect Partners the largest of which is our Strategic Partner Rackspace. Over the lifetime of our partnership with Rackspace we expect to see impressive revenue generated to BT from the re-sale of our Next Generation Security products and Services (NGSS).

During this role, you will be responsible for managing specific areas of the Threat Management product portfolio, ensuring that the BT Security Portfolio offering(s) can be sold and delivered as Indirect Products and Services to our Rackspace Partner.


What you’ll do:

  • Monitors customer and market movements to gather insight and optimise the product experience, building an in-depth understanding of customer and market requirements and trends.
  • Provides sound technical expertise and knowledge of the customer and market insight to develop industry leading products and services and contribute to commercial success
  • Works across the team to deliver effective product programmes within their specific product areas, including design, development, implementation and ongoing maintenance across the product lifecycle.
  • Identifies opportunities for product design, development and enhancement through exploration of ideas and recommendation to drive future product development.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (other teams, key suppliers or organisations) to support day to day projects and activities and ensure successful execution of product and roadmaps
  • Execute on cyber security plans, ensuring use of best practices and expertise to develop solutions that reflect customers’ requirements and drive improvements



  • Customer Insight - You build and apply deep knowledge of our customers, their context and preferences. You analyse and evaluate data to identify and maximise sales opportunities and generate recommendations.
  • Partnership Management - You develop businesses cases for engagements with new partners. You manage relationships with our partners and review performance on an ongoing basis. You recommend actions and develop plans to address performance variance and achieve regulatory requirements.
  • Product and service knowledge - You demonstrate subject matter expertise in complex, technical infrastructure, products and services. You develop bespoke solutions to meet short, medium and long-term customer needs.
  • Product Development- You develop design briefs for new product ideas, including specifications or models and prototypes. You use insights to propose solutions that anticipate customer needs.
