Why this job matters
In this role you'll be managing customer relationships from a desk-based sales environment, managing a range of between 10-20 customers with a revenue target of several million pounds. You will work closely with field account managers and other internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs. Your day-to-day activities will include sales, problem-solving, and facilitating issue resolution to ensure a positive customer experience while driving revenue growth.
Our Corporate & Public Sector Sales function is focused on delivering exceptional value to government and public sector customers.
These often require deeper engagement and bespoke, complex solutions—including advanced integrations. To meet these needs our teams are structured both regionally and vertically, ensuring our field and desk sales professionals are closely aligned with CPS customers—existing and prospective.
We’ve also built dedicated national teams to manage strategic relationships across key sectors including Government, Police, Fire, Central Government, Defence, and Health & Communities. This structure allows us to deliver consistent, secure, and expert service at every level.
You will join a highly tenured and supportive inside sales team and work closely with senior account directors, field account managers, and various BT departments. The team prides itself on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and delivering exceptional service to critical public sector customers. You'll be contributing to a well-established group that values loyalty, teamwork, and supports your professional growth.

• Collaborate closely with field account managers and internal teams to resolve customer issues related to billing, service, and delivery.
• Navigate public sector procurement processes, including Crown Commercial Frameworks, to facilitate smooth sales transactions.
• Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive customer information.
• Provide exceptional customer service by proactively addressing client needs and facilitating problem resolution.
• Contribute to a supportive team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and grow customer relationships.
• Problem-solving with the ability to facilitate issue resolution across multiple teams.
• Confidently engage with and manage senior government and public sector client relationships.
• You hold Security Clearance (SC) or are willing to undergo the clearance process.
