The role
The Infrastructure Sales Specialist team in the wider AMEA region (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa) is looking for a talent with a strong industry track record to join its team. We are a high performing Infrastructure team who is working closely with customers, partners, and sales teams to identify, design and sell innovated cloud centric network opportunities to increase clients’ revenue growth. Network technologies are going through a great transition phase. The IT industry is pushing new technologies into the market, such as, Cloud centric next generation underlay and overlay services including Software Defined Network (SDN and SD WAN), Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) and Cloud infrastructure. We are the market leaders in the managed network and cloud services space, and we continue to invest heavily in new technologies. Responsibilities
- Work with the BT Global sales force to identify and close business with a proposition led approach to drive the harmonised BT Infrastructure products in conjunction with BT Cloud services.
- Propose solutions to meet the current and future needs of the customer based on Proactive Selling, Customer and Discovery Workshops and Qualification Meetings taking a Consultative approach.
- Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements and recommends solutions that optimize value for the customer and BT Global.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs as part of a wider bid team. The sales Specialist will be engaged through Win Business process to translate technical solutions into sales arguments through Customer Presentations and Bid Response Documents.
- Liaise with the Central Product teams for Special Bid purposes to ensure that Solutions are compliant with the product capabilities and deliverable within budget whilst helping to develop the Harmonised Product Portfolio (GTM strategy influencer).
Requirements
- Experience driving sales of SD WAN and Cloud Centric Next Generation Network Services and experience working closely with indirect partners and vendors.
- Able to identify and qualify new business opportunities with our global account teams to support our growth strategy for our direct and indirect business.

Skills
- Technical Sales background preferred, ideally more than 10 years of experience selling network and cloud services to domestic, regional, and multinational enterprises.
- Proven track record working in a multination enterprise market space including a multimillion deal closure experience.
- Practical competency in sales methodologies and experience of consultative selling techniques.
- Proven experience in Business Development projects including, for example, target customer segmentation; structured customer workshops including technology roadmaps; marketing events; consultative engagements.
- Very good verbal and written English language capabilities in addition to excellent local language skills (where appropriate)
- Ability to influence senior decision makers (CxO, Directors) across customer Business and Functional departments based upon experience and insight.
- A comprehensive understanding of competitor capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses, especially for international and Domestic Suppliers.
- Comprehensive industry awareness – for example, participation in conferences, BT events, marketing support and public speaking.
- Understanding of the Infrastructure and Cloud portfolios and roadmap.
- Work directly and align with partners around the infrastructure portfolio and SD WAN technology such as Cisco, VMWare, Fortinet, Nokia or any of the Cloud providers as part of the wider eco-system
Qualifications
- Degree Holder or equivalent work experience
- Industry Certifications Desired (such as, Cisco, AWS and MS Azure and other SD WAN vendors)
