We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mobile Engineering Manager to lead and empower our development team in delivering high-quality mobile applications. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our projects, ensuring best practices, and driving innovation.

What you’ll be doing


1. Hands-On Technical Leadership: The ideal candidate will be hands-on and comfortable diving into coding, code reviews, design discussions, and tech reviews. You will lead by example, demonstrating strong technical expertise and actively contributing to the development process.
2. Mobile Application Expertise: You should be well-versed in developing mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms. Proficiency in Kotlin, Java (for Android), Swift, and Objective-C (for iOS) is essential. Strong knowledge of mobile app development frameworks, tools, and languages, including Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Flutter.
3. Test-Driven Development (TDD) and QA Automation: We place great importance on test-driven development and robust QA practices. You should be well-versed in implementing TDD methodologies, test automation, and test case review to ensure the reliability and stability of our applications.
4. Team Management and Guidance: As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and guiding the development team. You will provide technical mentorship, support skill development, and foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
5. Stakeholder Management: You will actively engage with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective stakeholder management.
6. Mentorship: You will lead a team of 4-6 engineers and accelerating their growth by providing thoughtful feedback, technical mentorship, and effectively manage performance.

Skills Required


1. Proven experience as a Team lead or Engineering Manager or similar leadership role, overseeing mobile application development teams.
2. Demonstrable expertise in Android (Kotlin and Java), iOS (Swift and Objective C), and Flutter development.
3. Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD systems and platforms like, Gradle and Cocoapods. 
4. Strong knowledge of TDD practices, QA automation, and test case review.
5. Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
6. Sound understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and project management best practices.
7. Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
9. Strong portfolio of successful mobile applications you have contributed to or led
10. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
