The Scope
The Delivery Lead is accountable for delivery roadmap for BT Wholesale, ensuring alignment with transformation initiatives and business objectives to deliver improved commercial and customer outcomes.
This role will lead complex programmes, driving integration across Transformation, Product and Customer Experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as the bridge between Sales, Product, Digital, Delivery and Customer Experience teams, ensuring customer requirements are fully understood and translated into deliverable solutions.
- Owning business requirements for Wholesale and provide those to Product and Digital teams to build solutions.
- Leading the redesign of legacy customer portals and buying journeys, transforming them into intuitive, industry-leading digital experiences.
- Defining and driving solution architectures that integrate seamlessly across IT infrastructure, networks, and digital platforms.
- Ensuring all solution designs align with industry standards, particularly around APIs and interoperability.
- Accountable for all solutions being delivered on time, cost and quality.
- Working closely with the Transformation Programme to ensure delivery of outcomes against agreed business cases and timelines.
- Translating commercial and technical requirements into robust business cases that demonstrate clear ROI and long-term value.
- Partnering with product and digital teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and future-proofed.
- Collaborating with sales leadership to ensure customer propositions are both commercially viable and operationally deliverable.
- Navigating and influence across a complex ecosystem of stakeholders in a large-scale transformation environment.
- Monitoring solution performance post-delivery and drive continuous improvement across systems and customer journeys.
Skills and Experience needed to be successful in the role
- Proven experience in solution design and delivery within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, integration models, and modern API standards.
- Commercial acumen, with a track record of developing and delivering business cases that balance customer value and business ROI.
- Demonstrable experience of improving customer journeys, ideally in telecoms or adjacent sectors.
- Ability to navigate and influence across diverse stakeholder groups, including Sales, Product, Technology, Digital and Operations.
- Strong programme and delivery discipline, with a focus on execution and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complexity and gain buy-in at senior level.
- A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on pragmatism to deliver at pace.
- Experience working in industries with complex ecosystems, ideally telecommunications, IT services, or digital platforms.
- Leadership qualities that foster collaboration, accountability, and a relentless focus on the customer.
