The Scope
Since forming as a unified security organisation in 2014, we have grown to a circa £600m business today. We have strong plans and ambition to grow to £1bn before 2030. Our goal is to make BT the standout company within the security space across SMB, Corporate and Public sector customers.
SASE is where Networks (SDWAN) and Security (SSE) come together to provide customers with a secure network. The SASE market is growing at 25% year on year and increasingly customers want to buy networking and security together.
Cisco are a key vendor in BT’s networking and Security portfolio and this role is pivotal in ensuring that BT capitalises in the UK on the Cisco market opportunity by developing a best-in-class SASE proposition.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for the mentoring, coaching and line management of one direct report.
- Owning the in-life product management of Cisco Catalyst SDWAN.
- Launching Cisco Secure Access into the Security portfolio and then managing the ongoing product lifecycle.
- Collaborating with the Cisco Meraki SDWAN product manager to launch a SASE proposition on One Business (Secure Access + Meraki SDWAN).
- Developing go to market and sales enablement plans/activities to drive sales.
Experience needed to be successful in the role:
- Previous experience owning the end-to-end product lifecycle of managed service product launches from concept to market in the UK B2B market. This involves idea generation, business case approval and then development through to market launch using agile methodologies.
- A strong understanding of the UK SDWAN, SSE and SASE markets for mid-sized customers, MNC’s and Public Sector – preferrable to have Cisco specific experience
- Proven ability to define the visions for both new and existing portfolio products with a focus on growth and innovation within competitive markets.
- Extensive experience of engaging and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders both externally (Customers) and internally at the highest level (C suite/Director Level).
- Proven ability to translate customer and market demand into product development decisions, requirements and user stories .
- Strong financial literacy and commercial acumen with the ability to develop and present a business case, pricing strategy and lead vendor contract and commercial negotiations.
- Knowledge of the processes that underpin customer service delivery to ensure product/service can be delivered both quickly and cost effectively.
