The Scope

Since forming as a unified security organisation in 2014, we have grown to a circa £600m business today. We have strong plans and ambition to grow to £1bn before 2030. Our goal is to make BT the standout company within the security space across SMB, Corporate and Public sector customers. 

 

SASE is where Networks (SDWAN) and Security (SSE) come together to provide customers with a secure network. The SASE market is growing at 25% year on year and increasingly customers want to buy networking and security together. 

 

Palo Alto are a key vendor in BT’s Security portfolio and this role is pivotal in ensuring that BT capitalises in the UK on the Palo Alto market opportunity by developing a best-in-class SASE proposition.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the launch of Palo Alto SDWAN and it’s In-life product management.
  • Supporting on the launch of Palo Alto SASE (Prisma Access + SDWAN) onto One Business and managing the product lifecycle, including contributing to the roadmap with the aim of creating a differentiated proposition that aligns to the broader SASE strategy and customer experience.
  • Supporting the writing of comprehensive product requirements that will feed into roadmap features and customer experiences.
  • Potentially leading on future product launches when they are approved.
  • Providing input into business cases to secure capex funding and identifying in-life opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Owning the product relationship with vendors, utilising their innovations to suggest feature enhancements.
  • Producing sales and customer collateral to maximise sales opportunities across BT Business.

Experience needed to be successful in the role:

  • Product Management experience gained from launching new products or managing the in-life product lifecycle in the UK B2B market.
  • Experience translating customer and market demand into product development decisions, requirements and user stories .
  • Experience of engaging and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders both externally (Customers) and internally at the highest level (C suite/Director Level). 
  • Strong financial literacy and commercial acumen with the proven ability to develop and present a business case, pricing strategy and lead vendor contract and commercial negotiations.
  • An understanding of the UK Security Market, preferably with an understanding of cloud-based SSE / SASE products.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels, up to an executive through various methods including presentations, data analysis, email and phone.
