Why This Job Matters:

The Early Careers & Apprenticeship Specialist supports the Product Owner in the definition, deployment and ongoing management of Early Careers & Apprenticeship products and programs across the organization as well as owning and driving key businesses-as-usual activities in that space. 

They will drives or oversee all activities related to the administration and running of Apprenticeships, including application of levy in an efficient, effective and compliance manner. Supports the Senior Specialist in managing the relationship with relevant government bodies to ensure we apply the levy in a compliant and efficient manner. 

Skills and Experience You’ll Need: 

  • Inclusively identifies, develops, and retains talented employees to support the effectiveness of the organisation as a whole. Facilitating activities and opportunities that get the best out of talented employees
  • Plans, prepares and facilitates a talent review program in which leaders review employees' strengths, development areas, and potential career trajectories
  • Evaluates a talent pool, identifying key candidates and tracking competitors' new hires
  • Identifies, attracts, selects and retains talented individuals
  • Monitors and improves mobility processes within an organisation, while empowering employees' development and improving satisfaction
  • Helps employees gain and develop leadership competencies and prepares them for management and leadership roles within an organisation
  • Can clearly articulate the current business performance and leverage the people levers to enhance performance or productivity  
  • Is able to develop a clear business case that outlines the context, insight, the proposal and a method to evaluate the impact of the intervention 
  • Collects and interprets data in order to uncover patterns and trends
  • Manages projects by dividing tasks into short phases of work (known as sprints) and frequently reassess and adapt plans
  • Identifies, evaluates and manages risks by developing and implementing strategies, frameworks, policies, procedures and practices
