This role is pivotal to BT Business’s strategic transformation, focusing on retiring legacy revenue streams and introducing new ones aligned with the All-IP future. It plays a critical part in securing long-term sustainability and strengthening our market leadership by driving greater share of wallet. With a sharp focus on prioritising high-impact opportunities, the role will champion future-facing revenue streams and ensure effective trading of decommissioning plans from the Commercial and Props function. It demands a clear strategy, agility in execution, and a deep understanding of the levers that influence performance across the wider P&L.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Accountable for ensuring laser focus on legacy revenue streams that can sit across the portfolio of products (and brand) that we sell today, championing revenue streams of the future and trading them accordingly.  
  • Responsible for being a key enabler supporting the decommissioning of legacy revenue streams arising from both the simplify and All-IP Programmes and any other product portfolio changes
  • You will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Commercial Manager across key commercial activities including trading, insight, pay plan and commercial strategy
  • Identifying and making recommendations to utilise marketing, brand, event, pricing and other levers to drive off the old revenues and introduce new ones
  • This role needs to understand the balance of the overall performance of the in-year P&L, combining the individual product outlooks to understand the overall picture
  • Needs to balance the requirements of the MTP (Line in The Sand) with the moving dynamics of the market with the context of the macro-economic environment
  • Determines the cadence of the Trading governance to ensure the right level of personal investment across the RACI to deliver the best outcomes

What we would like to see on your CV

 

  • Managing the commercial plan for product simplification, including All-IP
  • Experience of performing financial analysis, including forecasting revenues and costs, calculating profitability metrics such as gross margin and EBITDA, and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
  • Evidence of understanding the operational aspects of delivering services over the top of core connectivity solutions
  • Experience of tailoring the commercial strategy to customers of different sizes with different time in market, sales cycles, decision maker frameworks and requirements
  • Confidence working within structured decision-making frameworks with clear delegations of authority to ensure expedited outcomes

Flexible working
