Property and Facilities Professional - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

The Property and Facilities Professional supports the operational delivery of facilities services while ensuring commercial efficiency, quality assurance, and successful project mobilisation. A key aspect of the role includes oversight of new contract mobilisation, transition, and transformation activities to ensure seamless service commencement and alignment with strategic goals.

This role is based in Manchester following a hybrid working model of three days a week in the office and two days a week working from home. For the right candidate we can also base the role in Birmingham.

What you’ll be doing

Facilities Management Operations

• Assist in the oversight and monitoring of FM services across a wide-ranging property portfolio, ensuring compliance with SLAs and health & safety standards.
• Coordinate with service partners for planned and reactive maintenance, soft services, and helpdesk operations.
• Use CAFM systems to analyse data, manage and improve workflows, track performance, and escalate associated issues.

Commercial Cost Control

• Support the contract change process, budget tracking and cost reporting for FM operations and small projects.
• Assist in procurement activities, including quote reviews, PO management, and supplier engagement.
• Contribute to financial assurance and value-for-money initiatives during both business as usual and contract mobilisation

Quality Assurance & Performance

• Support in audit activities, inspections and actions to ensure service quality and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Track KPIs and performance metrics, escalating issues and supporting continuous improvement.
• Assist in the development of our QA frameworks and corrective action plans.

Project Delivery Support

• Provide operational input into minor works and capital projects, ensuring alignment with FM standards.
• Support project documentation, scheduling, and contractor coordination.
• Monitor project milestones and assist in post-implementation reviews.

Contract Transition, Mobilisation & Transformation

• Support mobilisation planning, including resource onboarding, system setup, and governance alignment
• Assist in the execution of transition plans, ensuring readiness for service commencement and operational handover
• Track transformation activities, including processes, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
• Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to ensure contract terms are operationalised effectively 

You'll have the following skills and experience

• Experience in FM operations, ideally within a multi-site or complex environment.
• Understanding of commercial and financial processes in FM.
• Familiarity with contract mobilisation and transformation frameworks.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in CAFM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
