Why this job matters

This role is accountable for architecting and creating high quality, effective and efficient learning solutions. The Learning Design Professional will take validated business problems and create blended, engaging and interactive learning programmesto address specific business needs. They will use a mixture of learning approaches and technologies based upon a sound knowledge of 21st century learning and adult learning principles.

 

As well as the design of new solutions, the Learning Design Professional role will lead on the maintenance and updates ofexisting learning programmes – evolving them as technology and thinking develops within the industry. They will do this so that our solutions are the most efficient and effective they can be and meet the commercial and people needs of Business.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Produce and land smart, evidence-based, commercially driven learning solutions that are effective and efficient from a learner and business perspective
  • Manage the design of solutions by producing, communicating and coordinating plans, updates and resources to ensure a smooth development and
  • deployment cycle with great attention to detail and the highest quality standards
  • Demonstrate a ‘customer centric mindset’, interacting with stakeholders ensuring that both the Customer and Learner are at the heart of the solution
  • Utilise, promote and adopt digital approaches to learning that enables our long-term digital strategy
  • Maintain the portfolio of learning collateral
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive mindset and pragmatic application of the latest innovations and trends within learning

The skills you'll need

Essential

  • Experience/understanding of the latest adult learning theory and learning pedagogy to develop impactful, repeatable and scalable learning solutions.
  • Experience contributing to the design of quality, innovative and thought-provoking learning interventions to support individual and business performance.
  • Ability to facilitate communication and collaboration with internal subject matter experts, external suppliers, design and delivery specialists ensuring design solutions are supported by appropriate resource and subject matter expertise.

 

Desirable 

  • Proficiency in digital learning techniques and thinking (OnDemand, Micro-Learning, Rapid, Experiential, ‘In-The-Flow-Of-Work etc.)
  • Proficiency in digital learning technologies and platforms (eLearning authoring, Adobe Creative Cloud, LXP, CMS authoring, mobile, virtual, etc.) 
  • End to end Project Management
