Job Title – Datacentre Infrastructure Specialist
Locations – Ipswich, London or Cheltenham
Competitive Salary + 5k DV Bonus + 10% Employer Pension contribution
Due to the sensitive nature of this role yu will be required to hold DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

As one of our Technical Specialists, you will be taking the lead in a diverse, fast-paced, constantly evolving team. We use DevOps methodologies to deliver world class secure platforms that make a real difference to our customers. In this role, you will have devolved architectural and operational responsibility for a large subsection of the technology stack on one of our projects. You will have regular and direct customer communication, responding to their challenges while maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing the work stacks of multiple colleagues, making priority decisions in line with all relevant security, financial and HR considerations. You will coach your team to ensure their continued development and build a healthy, inclusive culture.
What you’ll be doing:

Provide the technical direction for the build, delivery and maintenance of world class secure platforms.

Be hands-on in all aspects of the design, build, deployment and support of customer facing systems.

Employ and adapt industry-leading techniques and best practices to suit customer challenges.

Work within existing monitoring, observability and security frameworks to achieve our customer’s requirements.
You’ll definitely:

Have experience integrating systems, networks or software in on-premises environments.

Be experienced in providing 3rd or 4th line support to production datacentre environments
-
Contribute to a high-performance culture, empowering others through coaching and development using modern software development methodologies.

Deliver, coordinate and prioritise activities, responding positively to challenges, using your technical expertise to support you and those around you.

Be passionate about automation, striving to identify where complex and repetitive tasks can be simplified, improving overall team velocity.
You might even :

Have experience with storage solutions such as NetApp ONTAP or QNAP.

Have experience with VMware technologies such as Cloud Foundation, vSAN or NSX-T.

Work with monitoring and observability solutions such as CheckMK, Telegraf or Prometheus.
