Procurement Manager - IT Software

Why this role matters
The Procurement Manager is responsible for driving and delivering the procurement plan and activities in IT Software Category including overall Category Management, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Business Partnering practice.
This role develops and implements sourcing strategies, tender execution and contracting under Procurement framework, policies and procedures. This role holds strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement competency and continuous value delivery.
What you'll be doing
- Create and deliver category plans and sourcing activities specifically for BT Customer Facing Units (Consumer & Business)
- Drive and deliver end-to-end sourcing projects including complex contractual and pricing models
- Develop and deliver policies and frameworks underpin products and service delivery
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiate commercial and contractual arrangements and while incorporate innovative improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain category expertise and apply best practices.
- Identify business improvements leveraging the commercial, design and process to minimise the Total Cost of Ownership
- Adhere to procurement processes and activities with other procurement teams
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the business objectives and key transformational programmes
The skills you'll need
- Relevant experience as a leader within the Procurement function
- Strong business expertise in IT Software category, particularly around supplier capabilities and commercial models required to deliver against customer requirements
- Demonstrates a track record of decision-making capability and deliver against key metrics
- Strong communication, relationship management skills & ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders
- Ability to manage complex, strategic and commercial requirements between BT and Suppliers
- Experience in business partnering and supplier relationship management
- Demonstrates strong continuous improvement skills that exceeds customer expectations
