Why this role matters
As a Procurement Manager for Advisory & Consulting Services, you will be responsible for managing the category procurement strategy and activities within BT Sourced. Your role is crucial in providing procurement expertise and implementing procurement rigour and oversight to drive value and results.
This position involves maintaining senior-level relationships with key suppliers and BT Group stakeholders to ensure procurement excellence and delivering value to BT and its external customers. Additionally, you will foster strong internal networks to secure stakeholder engagement and buy-in.
What you’ll be doing
- Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement activities across all BT Customer Facing Units for all relevant categories.
- Policy Implementation: Oversee the implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Supplier Management: Manage key supplier relationships to ensure procurement excellence.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Secure and maintain stakeholder engagement for procurement initiatives.
- Operational Efficiency: Enhance operational efficiency through strategic procurement practices.
- Strategic Procurement Leadership: Support the Senior Procurement Manager to drive the procurement strategy for the Advisory & Consulting category ensuring alignment with BT’s strategic goals.
- Procurement Insight: Provide expert procurement insight to support strategic sourcing and procurement business partnering practices.
The skills you'll need
- Proven experience in procurement leadership, particularly in the Advisory & Consulting category
- Strong financial and procurement background
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies.
- Demonstrated success in managing senior-level supplier relationships.
- Experience in securing stakeholder engagement and buy-in for procurement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in driving adoption of digital procurement technology
