In the Services Procurement Team at BT Sourced, your impact will be substantial. You are part of a team that manages over EUR 2.3 billion of BT Group's expenditure, spanning critical areas such as Facilities Management, Energy, Marketing, Professional Services, Resourcing, Fleet, and Logistics. At BT, the Facilities Management Category Lead is a dynamic and crucial position that plays a pivotal role in shaping our operational excellence and future growth. What you’ll be doing

 

Strategic Procurement and Category Management:

  • Develop and implement a strategic procurement plan for BT’s global facility management needs.
  • Manage a substantial procurement budget, overseeing more than EUR 350 million in spending across various services including Core FM, Security, Catering, and Print Services.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with BT’s strategic objectives and values.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, focusing on cost-efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Internal Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with the overall procurement strategy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on facility management and procurement practices.

Innovation and Sustainability:

  • Lead initiatives for the “Better Workplaces” program, contributing to the development of sustainable and innovative work environments.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
     

The skills you'll need

 

  • Proven track record in facilities management procurement and category leadership, preferably in a global setting.
  • Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills. 
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Innovative Mindset: Passion for sustainability and innovation in facilities management
