IT Procurement Manager

Why this role matters
The Procurement Manager is responsible for helping to drive and deliver the procurement strategy in SaaS, IT Services, IT Hardware or Cloud categories, including overall creation of sourcing strategies, execution of sourcing activities, establishing strong collaborative partnerships and driving procurement best practice continuously.
The role holder will develop and implement sourcing strategies, tender execution and contracting under procurement framework, policies and procedures. This role holds strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement competency and continuous value delivery.
What you'll be doing
- Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement activities across all BT Customer Facing Units for all relevant categories.
- Policy Implementation: Oversee the implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Supplier Management: Manage key supplier relationships to ensure procurement excellence.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Secure and maintain stakeholder engagement for procurement initiatives.
- Operational Efficiency: Enhance operational efficiency through strategic procurement practices.
- Strategic Procurement Leadership: Support the Senior Procurement Manager to drive the procurement strategy for the Advisory & Consulting category ensuring alignment with BT’s strategic goals.
- Procurement Insight: Provide expert procurement insight to support strategic sourcing and procurement business partnering practices.
The skills you'll need
- IT procurement experience, ideally across SaaS, Cloud, or IT Services.
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies.
- Demonstrated success in managing senior-level supplier relationships.
- Experience in securing stakeholder engagement and buy-in for procurement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in driving adoption of digital procurement technology.
