About the role –

The role is accountable for providing PMO support services to complex customer contracts within Design and Delivery. It helps reduce risk to BT, improve the probability of a successful delivery, improve customer satisfaction and supports senior Programme & Project managers. It ensures that we provide a mature set of services to the most deserving contracts, including governance, reporting, risk and issue, dependency and obligation management. 

 

You'll have the following Responsibilities

  • Defining the catalogue of services – define the role of the Project Support PMO, including how it interacts with other areas of Business to support contracts.
  • Deploying services – decide, in collaboration with stakeholders within D&D, which customers should receive PMO support services. Continually review this and deploy services to those contracts which benefit the most.
  • Win New Business – Have involvement with large bids to determine what services and resources we will support/Sell future services within the bid.
  • Delivering excellence – operate all services to a high level of excellence that meet stakeholder and customer needs.
  • Processes and tools – ensuring compliance with and help shape the community wide methodology.
  • Continually improve – continually improve the service offering. Introduce digital and automation tools that remove the need for PMO intervention.
  • Contractor management – act as the line manager for contractors engaged by Client Services.
  • Engagement and D&I Lead – Support the D&D Engagement Lead to drive Engagement and Leading our People.
  • NPS – Lead on driving the Project Manager Journey NPS scores and report trends to Director level.
  • Strategy - Contributes to project planning and strategic vision, execution, project financial management, maintenance, and quality assurance for projects and programmes within the portfolio.
  • Resource Management – ensuring the right skillset is aligned to the correct contract.
  • Leadership  - Leading inclusively to inspire and build trust through self awareness, honesty and integrity.

 

You'll need to have the following skills and experience

  • Able to define simple, brilliant and personal services and able to communicate them clearly to a wide audience.
  • Able to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders (up to director level) and manage many conflicting priorities and demands.
  • Knowledge of Programme and Project Management, Service Management and Design and the typical skills and experiences required by our customers.
  • Ability to work within a complex matrix environment, with lots of projects and multiple priorities.

An externally recognised qualification, such as P30, PRINCE2, MSP, PMQ or equivalent would be desirable.
