Removes roadblocks for the team to help the team work efficiently and effectively. Manages customer and stakeholder expectations and  relative business priorities across the entire team to ensure designs are delivered to meet business priority at optimum cost.
This role is to support the effective delivery of all scale projects within BT Telephone Exchanges, Data Centres or Core Mobile Sites. 

You will help develop the team, manage performance, best practices and ensure effective delivery for BT and our customers.

You will help lead innovation, introduction of new tools, introduction of new system or system improvements, support the introduction of new systems, processes and equipment and help support the M&E Accommodation team. 

 

This role is hybrid & can be based in one of the following offices: Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast

What you’ll be doing

-Supporting the M&E Accommodation Team designing and delivering M&E delivery projects across the full BT portfolio- BT Telephone Exchanges, Data Centres and Core Mobile Sites
-Support the introduction of new systems, processes and equipment. You will work closely with the System development team, supporting from a delivery requirement aspect, fine tuning the solutions to suit delivery and customer requirements.
-Responsible for developing and issuing Guidance Briefings for introduction of new processes, tools, systems, new customer requirements or any changes with BT Policy that may impact our delivery.
-You will work closely with the M&E Architecture, capacity management and Accommodation planning teams, supporting our customers and stakeholdersAbility to challenge suppliers, team members and peers on site solutions where applicable
-You will become the go- to within the delivery team for technical and process support
-Highlight any Best Practice or improvements to ensure continued improvement
-Ensure all M&E solutions and developments are delivered efficeintly, with stakeholder engagement throughout design, testing and deployment.
-Support the team with development and coaching
-Ensure H&S compliance at all times- complete all required H&S checks and assurance
-Ability to make business critical decisions that benefits BT
-Track and report Operational costs of system developments

Prioritise H&S – To have regard for health and safety, his/her job license and skills as agreed with line manager.
Delivers work with full regard of H&S aspects. Carries out on-site risk assessments giving careful consideration to any
hazards before starting work and as the work progresses. Inform manager and record near misses/incidents. Is
comfortable challenging and asking others to display their ID passes when on BT premises. Complies with all ISO Audit
Requirements, including 14001 and 45001.

Skills and Experience

-Knowledge and understanding of BT’s core network and exchange architecture
-Application development understanding
-Strong level of IT skills in MS Office 365, Power platform.
-Stakeholder management
-Strong communications skills, verbal and written
-Able to forge relationships with planning manager peers, matrix direct reports and the wider technical community
-Ability to influence and resolve conflicts of prioritisation within the business
-Commercial awareness
-Ability to support, coach and develop the wider team in IT skills
-Ability to manage performance effectively
