The Team’s role within the wider organization:
Our team provides configuration delivery support for the network estate of a global, bespoke customer. Our goal is to achieve Right First Time delivery, enabling effective and efficient value co-creation with our partner.
Your role and tasks within the team:
- Attending pre-implementation calls, with customer representatives and adjacent support and technical teams to clarify activity scope.
- Attending change calls punctually, configuring network devices according to approved specifications in a timely manner.
- Recording and sharing evidence of the applied configurations and test results after the changes.
- Modifying the technical documentation of the sites after the changes to reflect their current state.
- Assist operations teams with technical insights, when time allows.
- Engaging in technical discussions within the team, sharing relevant knowledge across the team.
- Engaging in Continuous Improvement ideations to enable the creation of more effective processes.
Areas we support:
- Wired LAN technologies
- Wireless LAN technologies, especially Cisco 9K infrastructure
- Traditional WAN (MPLS, IPSec, DMVPN) and SD-WAN (Cisco/Viptela)
- Cisco Prime, Catalyst Center
- Cisco ISE
- Automated network audits and bulk remediations using Python
Work pattern information:
- Full time (40h/week) position in normal working hours, no shift work is expected.
- Supporting weekend tasks is expected but compensated with overtime multipliers.
- No on-call is currently expected.
Our expectations:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in providing delivery/operations support for a global enterprise network.
- Certifications are not strictly expected, but CCNP level knowledge is necessary in at least 2 of the above-mentioned technological areas.
- University degree is not strictly expected, but a relevant engineering BSc/MSc could prove to be an advantage.
- Willingness to learn all technological areas we support to a point where autonomous work is possible.
- Punctual, responsible, pragmatic approach to work is expected.
