Why this job matters

The role’s primary function is to deliver highly effective learning interventions that support sales delivery. The role holder will do this with a clear understanding of how L&D impacts and contributes to the business sales objectives and overall strategy.The face to face and remote training delivered will be customer centric led learning interventions that are targeted to develop individual and operational team’s performance. Typical programmes / interventions will include Induction / New Entrant Training (NET), Product Knowledge, and core skills development. They will bring good communication skills, an ability to deliver key messages and to manage a group (typically) of frontline employees within a variety of contexts and the ability to manage a territory with multiple stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

1. Deliver customer centric induction/new entrant and skills development training that focuses on the key sales skills the learners require

2. Making ‘in the moment decisions’ as to how best to deliver learning content to maximise learning experience and enhance speed to competence, enabling the ‘passport to sale process’

3. Establish and develop effective relationships across L&D teams, operational stakeholders and subject matter experts

4. Proactively asses your business unit and learning industry knowledge and act on it appropriately. This includes structure, strategy, products, systems and the business unit’s keys priorities

5. Deliver learning through formal, virtual and online learning experiences typically to customer facing teams

6. Develop and utilise your own ‘training delivery toolkits’ through ongoing engagement with operational stakeholders, sales design, and latest L&D best practice

7. Have a clear understanding of the portfolio and key messages delivered to drive and align business synergies

8. Facilitate learning by demonstrating a good understanding of the different learning styles, actively listening, having learner centric conversations by using effective questioning techniques, storytelling and testing for understanding

9. Be recognised as a strong facilitator by applying techniques in body language, voice and learning principles

10. Support learners to embed learning by running agreed consolidation sessions, improving time to competency

11. Continually Improve and take ownership of your development and performance to meet BT Business requirements and align business synergies.
