KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE

SD-WAN Technical Professional is responsible for providing effective technical support for delivery management and change management dealing with all relevant issues under the guidance of network design document. The DyNS BT contracts use a variety of SD WAN products in the delivery of the service and these include: Cisco SDWAN (CCSDWAN), Nokia Nuage(Agile Connect), Fortinet SDWAN, VeloCloud VMware network devices, so he/she will provide delivery support of network related issues and technology informed, providing assistance in solving problems quickly furthering business success by applying industry, technical knowledge targeting the customer experience at the highest level and may also play a key part in the BT wide professional communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(THE CORE ACTIVITIES, OUTPUTS EXPECTED OF THE ROLE, REGULATORY & LEGAL REQUIREMENTS)

    
•    Handle Migrations/RTTs/CSRs(Complex Service Request)/software upgrades and installations in general to configure and delivery DyNS SDWAN site devices accordingly;
•    Build configuration for DyNS SDWAN Products eq.: Cisco SDWAN (CCSDWAN), Nokia Nuage(Agile Connect) and Fortinet SDWAN according to DyNS standards;
•    Provide technical delivery support for a number of multinational customers;
•    Providing higher level support internally;
•    Providing hypercare support;
•    Provide process improvement input wherever possible;
•    Organizing technical trainings or knowledge sharing;
•    Participate in regular meetings with Technical Design Team(TDA), Consultants, Specialists, vendors and/or other 3rd parties e.g. Customers and Suppliers.
•    Provide hyper care support and document the technical information into BT tools(SI+, Ciena Blue Planet);


As part of the role there is an expectation that all the team members are able to utilise the available systems and tools, contribute to knowledge based articles and ensure that when necessary that Technical Service Protection Plans are invoked in order to protect the Customer experience and BT’s Brand and Reputation.

•    Ability to meet the customers’ needs in line with the business requirements

Professional skills    
•    CCNP (or similar level of knowledge in networking)
•    Knowledge on SDWAN Products (Cisco SDWAN (CCSDWAN), Nokia Nuage(Agile Connect), VeloClour(VMWare) and Fortinet SDWAN.
•    understanding on LAN/WAN/WLAN/BGP/MPLS/OSPF/EIGRP/xVPN
•    Advanced troubleshooting Skills

 

Language skills
•    Fluent English language (spoken & written)
