The role will provide opportunities to work on a wide variety of technologies in support of BT Business including Mobile Backhaul, IP, VPN’s, Ethernet and in new emerging trends including small cells that will significantly increase mobile footprint, neutral hosting, and the introduction of new access solutions.

This is an exciting area with many challenges, as the technology and tools are ever changing. Project managers shape, scope and drive deliveries. The team uses agile-scrum approach for solution designs, development and test. The candidate needs to be pro-active, flexible and have a positive attitude, and will be given peer & line support, coaching and weekly opportunities to learn.

What you’ll be doing

The role will provide opportunities to work on a wide variety of technologies in support of BT Business and Fixed Networks and in new emerging technologies and markets.
• Working with BT Business to capture their requirements for a service development and define the scope of the delivery required to meet it.
• Communicating the project’s progress up to senior manager level in Networks and BT Business focusing on business outcomes.
• Producing and managing robust achievable delivery plans with associated test strategy that have been scoped, assessed, reviewed and committed to by all stakeholder groups.
• Managing stakeholders, issues and risks and take timely action to keep the plans on track, taking ownership of issues, identifying what needs to happen and ensuring implementation of resolutions or mitigating actions.
• Collaborating across the business to create a delivery plan to meet the requirements, including agreeing the timescale and cost.
• Managing change in accordance with Customer and Network and IT Change Processes and ensure that the customer is championed in all our plans and decisions.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in your Agile team.
• Looking at ways of innovating, improving the way we work and communicating.
