Within Digital, the Enterprise Architecture Team (EA) team plays a critical role in driving the Digital transformation: we set the technical direction for the BT Digital Strategy, and we are the levers of change desired by our customers. We work across multiple customer units (e.g., Consumer, Enterprise, Global divisions) covering needed updates to products, customer journeys, platforms, 3rd parties, strategic partners, innovation and networks.  

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for the outcomes of each project / initiative in your portfolio 
  • Own and deliver the change needed to realise value and benefit from the outcomes  
  • Leadership of the virtual team within your projects  
  • Act as a Transformation spokesperson across Architecture 
  • Liaise with Directors and Senior stakeholders on a regular basis  
  • Where necessary, own the creation of the ‘case for change’ for initiatives in your portfolio 
  • Some line management where necessary 

You'll have the following skills and experience

  • Agile and/or Programme/Project Management experience  
  • Programme management of culture and business change in a technology context 
  • Stakeholder management at all levels, comfortable operating at Director and Managing Director level on a regular basis  
  • A critical thinker able to construct succinct problem statements, identify the key outcomes, build credible plans and programme constructs, to deliver them  
  • Budget management of projects and programmes  
  • Growth Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities and being outside your comfort zone  
  • Proactive, identify areas & elements of Digital that need significant shifts to improve ways of working and communication amongst teams 
  • Resilience: the ability to think on your feet with changing priorities and/or direction  
  • Tenacity and humility to challenge thinking and influence across the organisation 
  • Excellent communicator: ability to articulate ideas and insights in a succinct and engaging way and capable of engaging and influencing through communications, able to use storytelling and other techniques  
  • Leadership abilities to bring diverse groups of people together to reach a common goal
