Why this job matters

 

This role will be a key member of the pricing team in Commercial, looking after the pricing approach for our Mobile portfolio. The Pricing Specialist will be responsible for delivering commercial value for our Sales & Commercial team, through pricing activity and margin optimisation.

The role will be responsible for providing regular Mobile insights and analysis that allows us to set clear pricing principles and strategies. You'll also support the annual price increase programme. 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • A key contributor to the commercial pricing strategy, helping to define an approach for new propositions that balances revenue generation, profitability, and competitiveness.
  • Set clear pricing guardrails for the Commercial Trading teams to avoid margin dilution.
  • Manage regular engagement with Commercial Trading teams to review performance and opportunities.
  • Support with the delivery of Annual Price Rise programme.
  • Analysing market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitor pricing to develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify pricing trends, customer price sensitivity, and competitor strategies
  • Monitor pricing performance against key metrics (e.g., revenue, profit margin, market share) and make necessary adjustments
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding pricing strategy and potential market opportunities

What we would like to see on your CV

 

  • Proven experience in pricing strategy development or implementation
  • Experience in a commercial management role in a fast-paced, dynamic and innovative environment
  • Demonstrable experience of collaborating with and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Broad understanding of competitor landscape and UK Market
  • Basic understanding of UK Connectivity market
