Inside Sales Opportunities in Bristol
Assembly, Bristol, United Kingdom
Step into a sales role with a more positive proposition – helping millions of UK businesses to connect for good.
BT connects more than one million businesses and public sector organisations to their colleagues and customers – from FTSE100 companies to government departments.
It’s amazingly varied and engaging work, spanning the UK’s digital economy – from logistics and retail to transport and energy. One day, you’re selling simplicity, enabling customers to transition from the old to the new. The next, you’re helping clients find answers to some of the world’s biggest challenges, like cyber-security, public services and climate change.
We’re always innovating and investing in our product portfolios – whether that’s cloud collaboration, smart surveillance or drone detection . Here, you can be proud to be part of a powerhouse for business and government that’s shaping the UK’s digital future.
All this, in a welcoming, supportive environment, with brilliant benefits and bonuses, clear development paths and ongoing training to help you be your best.
That’s our pitch to you. With your sales talent, you’ll recognise that it’s a strong one. So, what are you waiting for?
A bit more about the roles
This is B2B inside sales. You’ll build strong, lasting customer relationships, win new business and help drive revenue. To succeed, you’ll need to gain a good understanding of each prospect – their challenges and what drives them – then match those with the perfect products from across the BT portfolio.
We’re currently hiring for two types of roles:
• Account Managers typically manage around 50 client relationships with either public or private sector organisations. You’ll need to forecast revenue, develop strategic plans and manage churn risk to grow your base.
• Acquisition Managers focus on turning low-volume or low-value relationships into high-potential new business. You’ll need the resilience and resolve to grow relationships from the ground up, from customer research and outbound prospecting to forecasting pipeline and closing deals.
What you need to succeed
We’re looking for people who are self-motivated, proactive and results focused.
Beyond that, we’re looking for as many of the following as possible on your CV:
• A proven record of hitting and exceeding targets.
• Accomplished communication and relationship-building skills.
• The confidence to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Success in identifying customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
