Aligned with BT’s vision to “connect for good,” we combine the power of people and technology to make a real impact across the UK.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a skilled HR Case Worker to join us at an exciting time of transformation – Internally we call this role an HR Case Professional. You’ll provide expert advice on Employee Relations (ER) cases, from investigations and grievances to disciplinary and performance matters. Your guidance will help managers make fair, legally sound, and inclusive decisions while protecting BT from risk.

You’ll also use data to spot trends, coach managers, help safeguard the business, build relationships and enhance the colleague experience across the UK. This role is an opportunity to influence operational excellence and contribute to a high-impact function during a period of change.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need

  • Proven experience advising managers on ER cases: investigations, grievance, disciplinary, health & wellbeing, and performance
  • Experience in building key relationships at all organisational levels
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a high-volume case workload
  • Ability to assess workplace issues and develop effective solutions
  • Skilled negotiator with experience finding mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation
  • Sound judgement that balances employee and business needs
  • Strong understanding of Employment Law, ACAS Code of Practice, and other relevant regulations

A Few Points to Note

Although these roles are listed as full-time, if you’re a job share partnership, work reduced hours, or any other way of working flexibly, please still get in touch. We will also offer reasonable adjustments for the selection process if required, so please do not hesitate to inform us.

Don’t Meet Every Single Requirement

Studies show that women and people who are disabled, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse or from ethnic minority backgrounds are less likely to apply unless they meet every single requirement. We're committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. If you’re excited by this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly match, apply anyway—you could be the right candidate.
