Assistant Delivery Manager (Site Share & Colocation)

Why this role matters
BT Tower Division is a new startup division here at BT, it’s aim is to improve the commercialisation of our infrastructure across the UK.
Your role will be front line in delivering an excellent customer experience. Overseeing our site share / colocation process to ensure an efficient and enjoyable experience to customers as well as ensuring we maximise each business development opportunity through accurate data availability and efficient processes.
The team is new and growing and we believe this is an incredible opportunity. We have big ambitions for growth and this role is integral to delivering a stable base and a grounding in market leading site sharing.
This role would suit someone who has recently made the move to or is looking gain experience in autonomously managing process and customers while still receiving mentorship and support.
This role can be based in our Bristol or Birmingham office and our hybrid working model means you are expected to be in the office 3 days per week.
You'll have the following responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring timeline commitments to customers are met, as well as maintaining a professional and positive relationship with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth colocation process.
In addition
- Work with the Business Development Manager to improve the sales process experience for customers.
- Work with the Colocation, Business Development and Operations Managers on the continuous improvement of the colocation process.
- Be the Tower Division front door for customers.
- Oversee the colocation process, tracking tasks and milestones, communicating status updates with the customer and ensuring timeline commitments and SLAs are delivered.
- Work with the Data Strategy Manager to ensure security and quality of data in our database.

You'll have the following skills and experience
You will have experience either in infrastructure sharing and/or delivery and a good understanding of acquisition, planning and build, enabling you to communicate effectively between customers and internal property/delivery teams.

Required:
- You have experience or relevant understanding of an infrastructure sharing environment.
- A good understanding of acquisition, planning and build.
- Demonstrable successful experience in a customer facing role.
- Proven Excel/database skills and/or project tracking tools experience.
- Exceptional organisational skills and demonstrable time management experience.
- Substantial experience in successful communication and stakeholder management.
- A proven track record of delivering against SLAs and timeline commitments.
- Experience and success managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Advantageous:
- You’ve either worked in:
- A tower co. environment delivering to telecoms/MNO clients.
- An MNO environment delivering new sites, upgrades or managing MNO shares on third party sites.
- Sales experience.
- Agile approach.
- You’ve shown confidence at communicating at all levels including CxO across multiple functions.
- Expertise and knowledge of the tower co. market and its evolution over time.
- Experience or knowledge in difficulties of managing data within an MNO / tower co.
