About the role
The role holder reports to the Client Partner on our Global Banking vertical and will have responsibility across BT’s largest and strategic global banking clients. Client engagement for the role includes sales activities linked to revenue growth, incremental sales and ownership of a strategic roadmap for accounts in the Banking Sector. Growth into new areas of the business will be the priority within the mature accounts together with driving industry focussed & portfolio sales.
Your accountabilities
- Working with the Account Directors building relationships to ensure long term profitable business and strong customer satisfaction
- To provide local and regional insight, promote Services and Products & develop customer trust to successfully identify and close new business opportunities.
- Working to a strategy and vision for growing the account through enhancement of existing services into your region & selling new service towers.
- Growth will be across full range of Global portfolio. Ensures sales records are current and accurate in Salesforce.
- Increase contract P&L performance by selling additional business generating profitable revenue growth.
- Develop strong, proactive account plans that summarise strategy and action.
- To seek innovative ways to expand new services and initiatives across the accounts.
- Being part of team environment that focusses on knowledge of the Banking Ecosystem so that we have a deep understanding of our clients & their strategy globally.
- Partner landscape and interlock activity to support business development and growth
- Owns WNB budgets required to deliver ICV/ICGM ambitions.
Skills required
- Customer relationship management up to C level/MD/President/CXO - Internal/External
- Ability to articulate technical and complex business issues and work with senior level customers and BT executives
- Sales growth across multiple accounts in different phases of their journey with BT
- Build rapport and tailor messages which tap into customer needs that align to Why BT.
- Strong technology background including Cloud and Security
- Global business experience
- Strong commercial acumen
- P&L management
- Contract and legal negotiations
- Sales experience: client engagement, pipeline building, opportunity qualification, deal management, business case generation, deal closure & handover
- Excellent influencing and commercial skills
- Work as one team with our customers and build real partnerships and trusted relationships.
- Working in a matrixed environment with virtual teams
- Manage change and stay productive under pressure over a period of time consistently.
- Act on strategic opportunities and be innovative in securing new business. Be bold, challenge the status quo and take action to attain the desired outcomes.
Experience required
- 10+ years of experience with relationship management and direct sales
- Track record of success in building relationship at C-level/senior manager/exec level
- Has delivered or exceeded sales targets in major enterprise accounts and groupings of accounts
- Developed and executed successful account plans to deliver business unit sales targets
- Creative thinking and solutions to complex business problems including across geographies and cultures
- Experience in driving Digital innovation into Banking and Financial industry customers
- Good understanding of BT Products and Services
- Understanding of the Banking and Finance Sector and experience of delivering into it
