About this role

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of the Enterprise Assurance and Control programmes for Finance in line with Group requirements. You will also act as a liaison for the external auditors of BT Group Plc for the purposes of the Enterprise CFU audit.


You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Deliver assurance and controls testing programme for Enterprise, including reporting of results to the business
  • Support the design and delivery of Enterprise's 3 Lines of Defence programme management and implementation, in line with Group requirements, focusing on assurance activities for Finance
  • Delivery of individual statements of work/projects aimed at mitigating identified issues and/or risks. Liaising with the business to ensure delivery of the resolutions and continued monitoring of the implemented fixes
  • Act as a key contact for the unit, other CFUs and Group for matters relating to Enterprise's risk, control and assurance programmes
  • Act as a key contact for the external auditors, supporting the delivery of Enterprise's external audit, as part of the BT Group Plc audit. Delivery of Enterprise's audit of the relevant statutory financial accounts


You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • IFRS technical accounting skills
  • Experience in project management and driving change
  • Risk, controls and assurance experience - Preferred
  • Experience of financial management and delivery of improved financial performance - Preferred
