Why this job matters
As a Desk Sales Team Manager, you will lead a sales team of around 11 people, driving performance against interlocked individual and team targets. You'll join an sales leadership team, working alongside five other managers. This is a desk-based role with close alignment to individual and manager targets, and regular collaboration with peers and stakeholders to drive team performance and consistent delivery.
Please note, this is a fixed term 12 month position.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and develop a sales team of 11 people to deliver against agreed sales targets.
- Drive a strong performance culture, using clear coaching, feedback, and day-to-day management to support consistent results.
- Own team planning and execution, ensuring activity and pipeline are aligned to achieve outcomes.
- Manage team performance in line with interlocked targets, where manager achievement is tied to team delivery.
- Work closely with peer managers and wider stakeholders to ensure alignment, share best practice, and support smooth execution.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the telecoms sector.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing a sales team.
- Performance mindset, with experience working to targets and leading a team against interlocked individual and manager performance goals.
- Communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead confidently in a desk-based, fast-paced environment.
