The volunteering manager will be responsible for the design and execution of volunteering propositions across BT Group – bringing to life our purpose and ambition directly through our people. In this role, you will focus on increasing volunteering participation, with a growing emphasis on digital inclusion, and work closely with the communications teams to build and promote volunteering campaigns.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and execute volunteering plans aligned with the responsible business strategy.
- Build and promote volunteering propositions on digital inclusion to drive participation and engagement.
- Integrate volunteering activities into unit plans to support their priorities.
- Provide governance updates and recommendations for senior-level forums.
- Oversee budgets for volunteering systems improvements and track related risks.
- Measure and report on volunteering performance, implementing strategies to enhance participation and impact.The Skills and Experience You’ll Need

The Skills and Experience You’ll Need
- Proficient social impact manager with significant previous experience in volunteering and social impact programs within a large commercial B2B/B2C environment.
- Experience in running volunteering programs and extensive project management skills.
- Ability to drive effective change, engage people at all levels, and deliver positive results.
- Innovative and adaptable, responsive to commercial priorities, and able to support commercial bids/contracts.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, capable of handling challenging internal discussions.
- Strong communication skills, a change maker mindset, and curiosity about external trends and best practices.
