Why this job matters

Best Network sits at the heart of BT’s strategy. The Mobile Demand and Delivery team support all teams within mobile to deliver their key requirements. The Technical Delivery Specialist will deliver intra-mobile technical and functional deliveries & projects. The role holder will also input to standardization of process, and delivery metric analysis, reporting and improvements.  

What you’ll be doing

  • Implements workstreams in full cycle delivery of commercial outcomes for technology developments and solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities to resolve risks and issues relating to delivery and any impacts on related components or teams.
  • Coordinates with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, update on progress and achieve benefits.
  • Coordinates with multiple complex medium sized technical deliveries or a single large technical delivery.
  • Monitors all actions and activities, from scope to delivery, to ensure adherence to technical roadmap and time and budget constraints.
  • Owns financial outlook of deliveries
  • Implements ways to improve team, process and service performance and suggest and implement changes to how the team operates

Skills required

  • Project / Programme Management: Leads technical functional deliveries to achieve success through delivery excellence towards time, cost and quality. Produce high quality reporting into the wider programme of work
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience of Agile deliveries, running daily stand ups, unblocking issues, delivering with efficiency and integrity
  • Requirements gathering: Experience of understanding and scoping requirements with design teams, through high quality documentation and accountability
  • Stakeholder Management: Engages, monitors and improves relationships with stakeholders
  • Resourcing: Acquires, allocates and manages resources in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Risk Management: Identifies, evaluates and manages risks by implementing risk mitigation strategies and clear communication at all levels 
  • Strong track record of delivering technical and functional projects across technology domains 
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, strong analytical and problem solving skills
