You’ll be part of the Programme Delivery Team that works across various areas to manage the more complex deliveries. We keep the project management capability centrally and work across different departments to provide project and programme management expertise.
The Networks Data & AI department is the department that you’ll be primarily working with. The team is at the forefront of transforming how data is used to drive decisions, improve customer experiences, and deliver operational excellence across BT. This role ensures that complex, high-impact data projects are delivered with clarity, pace, and precision. This role is based in London or Belfast and our hybrid working model means you are required to be in the office 3 days per week.
You'll have the following responsibilities
This role requires monthly travel, typically for a day or two, to other locations as part of the job responsibilities.
• Programme Delivery - Lead end-to-end programme delivery for strategic initiatives in ‘Data and AI’
• Planning - Set up, plan, and execute programmes aligned with business objectives.
• Governance - Establish and run governance forums, steering boards, and delivery calls. Regular progress reporting.
• Problem Management – Actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple teams & projects.
• Financial management - Oversee programme finances including budgeting, resource planning, and cost forecasting and tracking.
• Coach - Delivery teams on best practices and structured ways of working.
• Continuous improvement – Drive improvements in delivery processes and governance.
• Stakeholder management and collaboration – Engineering teams that are internal, across BT and 3rd parties. Stakeholders in Consumer, BT Business, Corporate Units, Networks and Digital.
You'll have the following skills and experience
This is a multi faceted role and requires experience in program management, specifically with third party delivery management, You will have experience managing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies. Proficiency in Jira is essential, as the role involves supporting teams working within Jira. Desirable qualifications include experience in the Data and Cloud domain, as well as Scrum Master and Product Owner certifications.
Skills
For this role, it is important that you have managed multiple concurrent technology products and managed stakeholders up to MD level. In addition, proficiency in Jira and 3rd party delivery management is essential for this role.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data infrastructure and governance
• Experience delivering in telecom domain
