Why this role matters

This is a key role within the Commercial Finance team for EE. You will be expected to take the lead from a finance perspective in driving profitable growth in the Broadband base, articulating drivers in an insight-driven manner to guide decision-making. You will be influencing and shaping commercial outcomes to ensure the business hits its financial performance targets.

This role will support the Head of Broadband Trading finance with exposure to Director/MD community.

  • Business partnering support for the Commercial Trading & P&L delivery teams.
  • Business case, pricing and PIR support for investment decisions.
  • Lead the commercial reporting and analysis of Broadband transactions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Finance interface into the Commercial & Marketing team, influencing the trading direction on performance.
  • Lead on commercial finance process for Broadband and point of contact on articulating commercial performance drivers.
  • Provide comprehensive decision support to the team, ensuring pricing and short term proposals deliver sustainable value.
  • Identification, quantification and mitigation of risks that may arise as a result of both internal and external factors.
  • Ad hoc commercial analysis / impact assessment of promotional changes and wider market impacts.
  • Align on interlocked financial targets to underpin Budget and rolling forecast processes with FP&A.
  • Ownership of robust performance tracking, ensuring performance can be correctly measured and alignment into the P&L outcome.
  • Think “outside of the box” considering a wide angle of perspectives to identify clear commercial, cashflow and cost opportunities.

The skills you'll need

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience of financial business partnering, forecasting and analysis.
  • Demonstrate commercial analysis skills
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and build strong working relationships, with a proven ability to influence and coach and be prepared to challenge.
  • Ability to co-ordinate and align plans across multiple stakeholders, processes and decision-making forums.
  • High level of commercial acumen, having the ability to quickly understand new ideas and how they impact the business financially.
  • Excellent knowledge of finance, covering a breadth of activities and best in class practices.
