We’ve been awarded the UK’s best network for the last 10 years. It’s central to our vision – to be the most personal customer-focused technology company in the UK.

That means earning a place on customers’ home screens by offering them more than ever before, whether that’s helping their home run smarter with EE Home, levelling up their play with EE Game, helping them work on their terms with EE Work, or even unleashing their kids’ learning with EE Learn.

We’re also part of BT Group, which we’re even bigger than you might think. Millions of people rely on us every day to help them live their lives, power their businesses, and keep their public services running. We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding.

We think we’ve got something special here. We want everyone to feel proud about working at EE – and feel excited about where we’re going and what we’re going to do. Want to join in?

The Scope

As a Product Lead / New Markets Cluster Lead, you are essential to driving innovation, growth, and customer satisfaction within EE Ltd. Your leadership will shape the vision and outcomes for a group of product squads (referred to as a "Cluster"), ensuring that our solutions meet evolving customer and commercial needs. By setting a strategic direction, making critical prioritisation decisions, and fostering a collaborative, transparent culture, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact products and services that support EE Ltd.'s overall business objectives.

This role is critical to driving EE Ltd.’s success, ensuring the right products are built and delivered in a way that maximises both customer satisfaction and business impact. If you’re passionate and have demonstrable experience in leading cross-functional teams, driving outcomes, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, we encourage you to apply.

What you’ll be doing

Cluster Vision & Roadmap Development:
   - Setting the long-term vision for your product cluster in alignment with company goals.
   - Developing and maintaining the Cluster Roadmap, ensuring it addresses customer needs and business priorities.
   - Working closely with Tribe Leads, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to synchronize the Cluster vision with broader company strategies.

Backlog and Prioritisation:
   - Owning the Cluster Backlog, ensuring prioritisation aligns with strategic goals and business needs.
   - Making trade-offs and hard prioritisation calls, responding quickly to changing customer and commercial demands.
   - Ensuring all Squads within the Cluster have a clear understanding of product requirements and are aligned in their execution.

Outcome-Driven Leadership:
   - Driving for results by setting Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Cluster and guiding Product Managers to break them down for individual Squads.
   - Tracking and measuring the Cluster’s performance through a set of delivery KPIs and customer-centric metrics.
   - Overseeing the definition of “done” to maintain a high standard of quality across all Squad outputs.

Collaboration & Coordination:
   - Actively coordinating with other Cluster Leads, Product Managers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and avoid duplication of efforts.
   - Leading cross-Squad synchronisation ceremonies, ensuring collaborative planning and successful execution of cross-functional initiatives.
   - Fostering strong relationships between Squads, Tribes, and other Clusters, building a culture of trust and transparency.

Leadership & Team Empowerment:
   - Inspiring and leading Squads to operate autonomously while ensuring alignment with the overall Cluster objectives.
   - Serving as a role model, cultivating an environment of confidence, trust, and empowerment, where every voice is valued.
   - Encouraging a non-hierarchical culture, where transparency and trust are foundational principles.

Continuous Learning & Innovation:
   - Embracing a mindset of continuous learning and experimentation, turning mistakes into learning opportunities.
   - Actively promoting innovation and encourage team members to work outside of their comfort zones, fostering a culture of growth and improvement.

Experience needed to be successful in the role:

Subject Matter Expertise:
  - Deep understanding of relevant new markets products or product journeys, including industry trends and customer needs.
  - Proven ability to create compelling value propositions and customer-centric solutions.

Agile & Experimental Mindset:
  - Proficiency and demonstrable experience in Agile methodologies, with experience in managing backlogs, roadmaps, and OKRs.
  - Ability to promote a culture of innovation and experimentation, helping teams learn from mistakes and continuously improve.

Results-Driven and Action-Oriented:
  - Strong focus on achieving results, with a bias for action and ability to deliver tangible outcomes.
  - Comfortable making difficult prioritization decisions, balancing short-term needs with long-term objectives.

Leadership & Communication:
  - Skilled communicator with the ability to persuade and lead across multiple Squads, comprised of diverse team members.
  - Experience in leading cross-functional teams, ensuring coordination and alignment across different disciplines and units.
  - Managing through and influencing stakeholders to deliver.

Structured Thinking & Customer Centricity:
  - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  - Deep customer focus, ensuring that the Cluster’s outcomes deliver real value to the end user.

Collaborative & Empowering Mindset:
  - Belief in non-hierarchical, transparent, and trust-based leadership, fostering an environment where all team members feel empowered and valued.
