In a rapidly evolving market, expanding and managing a diverse product range is crucial for meeting customer needs and driving business growth. The Merchandising Professional plays a vital role in coordinating and delivering a significant expansion of the EE product range, and managing their lifecycle. Additionally, this role is responsible for implementing strategic pricing changes across the entire product portfolio, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. Your work will directly impact EE’s ability to offer a broad and dynamic range of products, optimise pricing strategies, and enhance customer satisfaction.
 

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate and deliver the expansion of the EE product range from 300 products per year to 3000 products per year, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive offering.
  • Manage the lifecycle of products, from introduction to end of life, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with market demands.
  • Implement strategic pricing changes for products in life, ensuring competitive pricing across all channels and platforms.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive pricing strategies, using insights to inform product expansion and pricing decisions.
  • Work closely with product development, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of product expansion and pricing strategies.
  • Track and analyze product performance and pricing effectiveness, using data driven insights to make continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Ensure that product offerings and pricing strategies meet customer expectations and enhance their experience.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on product performance, pricing changes, and strategic recommendations.

The skills and experience you will have under your belt

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to co-ordinate and deliver largescale product expansions.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to interpret market data, product performance metrics, and pricing effectiveness.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for product expansion and pricing optimization.
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting plans, updates, and facilitating collaboration across teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships and secure favourable terms.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in product management and pricing strategies.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into effective product offerings and pricing strategies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and organizational needs.
  • Proficiency in merchandising software and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and pricing platforms.


Experience:

  • Previous experience in merchandising, product management, or a related field, preferably within the Consumer Electronics industry.
  • Proven experience managing the lifecycle of products, from introduction to endoflife.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing strategic pricing changes across a broad product portfolio .Experience conducting market research and using insights to drive product and pricing decisions.
  • Experience leading largescale projects and co-ordinating efforts across multiple teams.
  • Experience managing relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and favourable terms.
  • Expertise in monitoring and analyzing product performance and pricing effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience gathering and applying customer feedback to inform product and pricing strategies.
