About the role

In this job, you’ll be accountable for leading the strategy and analysis of data across digital product journeys to provide actionable business insights.

 

You will oversee a team of analysts, manage data insights, reporting and translate complex data into strategic opportunities for business growth.

 

The big decisions involved in this role include:

  • Recommendations based on analysis and business understanding.
  • Self-serve tool input and management
  • What data assets to use for reporting & analysis

What you’ll be doing

  • Analytics Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive data analysis and reporting strategies to meet business needs and objectives. This includes defining product journey key performance indicators (KPIs) and data sources.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of data analysts, providing mentorship and direction to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
  • Reporting and Visualisation: Oversee the creation of dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools like Qlik, Power BI, and Looker Studio. Present findings and business impacts to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Insights and Optimization: Analyse digital performance to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. This includes supporting A/B and multivariate testing to improve customer experience and conversion.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams in marketing, product, and sales to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in analytics, data science, and marketing technology. 

Essential Skills / Experience

Technical Skills:

  • Analytics Tools: Expertise in platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4, GA360), Adobe Analytics, and tag management systems like Google Tag Manager (GTM).
  • Data Languages: Strong proficiency in querying languages like SQL
  • Data Platforms: Experience with cloud data platforms e.g. GCP
  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative, statistical, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data modelling and interpretation.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively translate complex data insights for non-technical audiences and influence strategic decision-making.
Strategic Thinking: A strong business acumen and a strategic mindset to convert data insights into tangible business opportunities and outcomes.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, lead, and mentor a team of analysts while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
