About the role
As a Social Account Manager, you are the engine room of your brand’s creative output. You own day-to-day project delivery – keeping multiple workstreams moving simultaneously, maintaining quality, and ensuring every piece of work that enters the studio is properly briefed, accurately tracked, and delivered to the highest standard.
This is a delivery-focused role that requires someone who is equally comfortable writing a production timeline for social content rollouts and consolidating stakeholder feedback on a brand campaigns. You’ll work closely with the Principle of Social Media, Influencer Manager and Campaign Manager , who oversee the account and sets the standard. Your job is to make sure the work moves efficiently, professionally, and correctly through the team – so that nothing falls through the cracks.
You will need to know your craft deeply and have knowledge of social platforms – production processes across multiple output types, how to build a schedule that accounts for dependencies, and when to pull in a Strategist or Creative Director to strengthen the work. You are not doing this alone, but you are responsible for it.
What you’ll be doing
- Own multiple social content and campaign projects from initial brief through to final delivery.
- Interrogate incoming requests, challenge briefs constructively and ensure objectives, audiences and success measures are clearly defined.
- Build detailed project plans that account for dependencies, approvals, resources and channel requirements.
- Coordinate creative, design, channel and account teams to keep delivery moving across Plusnet and EE.
- Manage fast-paced social timelines, including work that may move from approval to publication within 24 to 48 hours.
- Build trusted relationships with campaign, commercial and senior stakeholders, providing clear updates and setting realistic expectations.
- Consolidate stakeholder feedback and present work clearly at key review stages.
- Identify delivery, resource or timeline risks early and take proactive action to resolve or escalate them.
- Manage legal, licensing and stakeholder approvals, ensuring sign-off requirements are built into each project plan.
- Review work for accuracy, quality, brand alignment and platform suitability before it progresses.
- Coordinate third-party agencies and suppliers, keeping external delivery aligned with internal timelines and standards.
- Track budgets, project costs and purchase orders while identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
Essential Skills / Experience
- Strong account management experience supporting social accounts within a creative agency, in-house team or marketing environment
- Proven track record of managing creative projects end-to-end across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Experience building detailed project plans and managing dependencies across complex social campaigns
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience writing creative/social briefs and presenting work to stakeholders
- Comfortable managing budgets, raising POs, and tracking project financials
- Experience working with third-party agencies or suppliers on joint delivery
- Proficient in Screendragon or equivalent workflow management tool
- Background in fast-paced environments moving at the speed of culture with tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Experience in an in-house social/influencer agency or working with telecommunications, technology, or B2C brands
- Familiarity with both brand and performance marketing campaigns
- Understanding of agile working methodologies
- Previous exposure to working with senior stakeholders or presenting to leadership teams
- Strong production knowledge across multiple output types but mainly social (retail, DM, video, social, digital, print, SMS, merchandise)
